Bravo Winner!

Aug 28, 2017

It is always nice to see a debutant go to the track and live up to the promise they have shown at home - and that is just what the exciting Bravo Tango did at Donald on Saturday.

Settling back from the second widest gate in the 1204m maiden, Bravo Tango hooked out into the straight, travelling well though doing plenty of wrong - hanging but still charging to the line!

"It was a terrific performance from a first starter," Mitchell Freedman enthused.

"He has always shown plenty of ability in all his work but we have not been able to give him many trials as he has been troubled by shin soreness."

"He raced greenly throughout but he certainly has an engine."

It is so far so good for the stable's project regarding picking out a good looking yearling at the sales each year. One of our most loyal owners Michael McGrath has supported us with a budget, helping find owners.

Dual city winner Greviste was our first major purchase, this fellow our second!

Bred in New South Wales by Kia Ora Stud, Bravo Tango is a son of former shuttler Congrats and the imported Sadler's Wells mare Pas de Deux.

A full brother to the Group One Champagne Stakes runner-up Chimboraa, Bravo Tango hails from a strong European family whose members include the big race winners Shake The Yoke, Move In Time and Kutub. He is a descendant of famed matriarch Pretty Polly.
