No Bones About It!
May 12, 2020
Off a nice debut run at Ballart, we were expecting Bones to again run well at his second start at the same track - the double figure odds a nice surprise!
Showing pace, the handsome chestnut had others kicking up on his inside but Jye McNeil did not panic, having the promising three-year-old wide but in a good rhythm.
It was a pleasant experience for a lightly raced horse and Bones showed plenty of heart in the run home - hitting the lead early and finding plenty as the challenges came late, his winning margin a strong half length.
Catching Mitch's eye at the 2018 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, Bones is by Northern Meteor's Stan Fox Stakes winning son Eurozone and he is the final foal for the Hennessy mare Scot's Flyer.
A half-brother to the stakes winners Strat's Flyer and Bauble, Bones hails from the family of the multiple Group One winner Sobar.
