A Dime Approach added a second win for the stable from only four starts, fighting off all rivals at Colac on Sunday March 2.
From the outside gate, Jarrod Fry, who is in red hot form for the stable, and is one of the best jockeys at getting horses out of the gates was able to do so once again, leaving well and with the long run into the bottom corner at Colac obtained Dime’s favoured leading position. Dime was able to control the speed, looking to take a breather coming to the hill and then increase the gallop down the hill into the straight. When challenged on the corner, he was extremely brave, giving the race his all and continued to a narrow win.
A Dime Approach has earnt himself more than $30,000 this preparation has improved his rating by eight points on the back of his two wins, a phenomenal effort in his first campaign in the stable!
Deep into his preparation, A Dime Approach looks like he will keep improving out to the 2400m and should he be able to hold this form, another win is certainly within his grasp.
