Arc De Puissance broke a frustrating run of photos for the Freedman team, saluting at Penshurst by the narrowest margins. In the month of November, the team have had eleven place getters, seven of which went down in a photo or by less than a length, in what could have been a monstrous month for the team.

Arc De Puissance had two thirds leading into the Penshurst race and has been bursting to win a race. He is a horse that does prefer a soft track, so it’s been a difficult time of year to get the gelding up and going but a very pleasing result to break his well-deserved maiden.

The son of Puissance De Lune is out of a family that continues to improve with age and he has been no exception. His ownership group have displayed great patience, with the 5yo only having nine starts to date and now heading for a short break, before attacking a Autumn/Winter campaign on favourable tracks.

Let’s hope this break through is the strike of luck the team needed to launch into a fruitful summer racing season, one which last season delivered record numbers over the December & January period.
