The ever-consistent Belle Et Riche added some quality black type to her pedigree, running a gallant second placing in the Group 3 Geoffrey Bellmaine on Saturday February 4.
From only ten career starts, Belle Et Riche, a daughter of Woodside Park stallion Rich Enuff, has earnt $266,200 in prize money and has risen through the grades following a great summer campaign.
Belle Et Riche was beaten 0.4length to her summer rival, Wrote To Arataki, whom she has faced three times. Belle Et Riche was coming back to 1300m following a short freshen up at Fulmen Park and was fantastic in her performance, albeit without winning. “Belle Et Riche was very honest, putting in another consistent run. She was well-ridden and battled strongly to the line.”
Freedman has done an incredible job with the mare, who has more stakes ambitions in store both in Victoria and potentially in Tasmania this Autumn. Whilst a stakes placing is a fantastic achievement, we strongly believe this mare deserves a stakes victory to go with it.
Good luck to Mr Rod Groves and his ownership group for the remainder of her Autumn campaign.
