Jammin Jimmy added his second win from only six starts on Thursday night, sailing by his rivals in the Class 1 1200m race at Pakenham. This was Jammin Jimmy’s second win in a Vobis race, which has seen him earn over $80,000 and a $30,000 Vobis Platinum voucher.

Jammin Jimmy is out of South Street, a family that is very special to breeder Mr Mike Hirst and the stable, being a half brother of Southern Moon and Lloyd The Leopard. Jammin Jimmy is a very rangy, loveable character who is proving he can really gallop, despite some issues early on in his career.

“We have had to be really patient with him along the way, but Mike has had full faith in our system and it’s great that in the last twelve months the penny has dropped with him and we have been able to get some results on the board. We know the family well, each of them out of the mare have been great to the stable in their own way and it is always great to see Mike’s colours in the winning frame.” Freedman said.

Throughout May, the stable has been going great, with two in every three runners finishing within the top three, five of whom have been winners. After a slow start to the season, the Freedman stable have had 20 winners since February, accounting for almost 60% of the total wins, in only a four month period!

Congratulations to Mr Mike Hirst and connections on the victory and we look forward to the preparation ahead.
