A successful trip to Bordertown on July 26 resulted in Perdition winning his third career race.
As previously eluded to, the enigmatic son of Hellbent keeps the Freedman team on their toes, but in his previous two starts, has brought his A-game, running a promising third at Mount Gambier and now a win at Bordertown.
From barrier 2, Perdition was able to have an economical run in transit and upon straightening burst clear, stretching out to a 2length lead. Looking like he might stretch away for a comfortable victory, instead ‘Harry’ had us all on edge, seemingly waiting for ‘his mates to catch up’ but was able to hold on for the photo.
From 13 starts, Perdition has finished in the placings on 7 occasions, an outstanding achievement. “The re-addition of blinkers has really sparked him up and it’s pleasing to reward the ownership group for their faith in the horse.” Freedman said. Campbell Rawiller partnered with Perdition in his previous two starts and seemingly has a great relationship with the horse, getting the best out of him on both occasions.
Join us in congratulating the ownership group of Perdition!
