Zorro’s Dream added to his impressive CV with a barn-storming win at Morphettville on Saturday February 26. According to industry leading form experts, Zorro’s Dream returned in career-best shape at Caulfield, running a five length career peak over the last 400m. Zorro’s Dream continued on this trajectory second up, leaving his opponents flat footed as he stormed to victory over 1100m.
Up in grade, Zorro’s Dream benefited greatly from the weight relief and in-form apprentice Tahlia Hope’s claim bringing him down to 53kg. Off the hot speed, the gelding settled nicely and exploded at the top of the straight to an eased down 2.1l victory.
The consistent 4yo has been a dream horse for connections, missing the top three only four times in his career. Freedman said post race “ He seems to have improved at home and on the race track this time around, he has a great turn of foot off the right race shape”
