Just A Theory was a well-deserved winner at Hamilton today, dominating her rivals to a five length victory.

Just A Theory has been a very consistent mare, with four placings from her seven career starts, including two close seconds to begin her preparation. After an unlucky run last time at Ballarat, Freedman elected to give the mare a freshen up within the stable, filling her condition and utilising the great facilities at Ballarat to ensure Just A Theory was feeling fresh and full of confidence leading into today. Post-race Freedman said “Having her carry some more condition and giving her a couple of quiet jump outs between runs really helped her go about it the right way and put that race away nicely.”

The formidable duo of Freedman & Fry always is one to follow and post-race the Group 1 winning jockey explained “She put them away pretty easy in the end which should give her some confidence going forward.”

Mike Hirst purchased Just A Theory’s dam, Miss Lauren Ann in-foal to American super-stallion Into Mischief, who stands for $250,000USD and reared this lovely mare, who deservedly broke her maiden today. Hirst is a great supporter of the stable and Freedman was pleased to see Just A Theory breakthrough for her first of victory. May there be plenty more to come!
